Yard Attendant/Detailer

Boater's World Marine Centers is seeking a reliable and dedicated Yard Attendant/Detailer to join our team at our Grand Prairie, TX location. The Yard Attendant/Detailer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dealership's outdoor facilities and providing excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Driving: Drive company vehicles for tasks such as transporting boats, trailers, and equipment within the dealership premises or to off-site locations.
• Boat Handling: Safely and efficiently handle boats during launching, loading, and storage processes.
• Boat Detailing: Perform thorough boat detailing, including washing, cleaning, and maintaining the appearance of boats to ensure they are showroom-ready for customers. 
• Yard Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of the yard area, including sweeping, debris removal, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records of boats and accessories stored in the yard.
• Customer Assistance: Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers with loading and unloading boats, answering basic inquiries, and directing them to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Equipment Operation: Operate yard equipment such as forklifts, trailers, and tractors in a safe and responsible manner.
• Assist Technicians: Assist service technicians with moving boats and equipment as required for repairs and maintenance.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
• Facility Upkeep: Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the dealership's outdoor areas, including walkways and parking lots.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service.

Requirements

• This position requires a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with boat handling techniques is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience trailering and transporting boats. 
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
