Yard Driver

Seneca Tank is seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Driver to become an essential part of our Des Moines operations. This hands-on role keeps our shop running at full speed-from managing truck and trailer movement across the yard to supporting our service team with parts receiving and local vendor runs. You'll take ownership of lot organization, facility upkeep, and routine transport between facilities, making a visible impact every day. If you hold a Class A CDL and take pride in doing things right, this is a role where your work truly matters.

Lot Management

Shop, Grounds and Vehicle Maintenance

Pick Up and Delivery of Parts

All Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

Class A CDL with air brakes, hazmat and tank endorsements

High school diploma or equivalent

5 years of experience driving a straight truck or semi tractor

Must meet and maintain Company insurability standards

Must possess and maintain current D.O.T. Medical Examiner's Certificate

Physical Demands:

Must be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. of force frequently, and 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects

Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions

Safety

Follow U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T) regulations regarding petroleum tanks, as well as the policies found in Seneca Tank's Safety Manual.

Special Conditions of Employment

Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, job candidates are required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug-screen.

Willingness and ability to travel for occasional overnight stays.
