Powder Coating Systems, an independent powder coating company serving Pierce, King, Thurston and Kitsap counties, is looking for an experienced Yard Expeditor for our operation in Tacoma. This is a full-time specialty position that operates from 8AM-4PM Monday through Friday. 

The Yard Expeditor is responsible for: 

-Opening and closing the gates daily. 

-Providing customer service to load and offload customer jobs. 

-Provide measurements and information to the front office regarding said jobs to ensure they are accounted for and processed accurately. 

-Keeping the yard clean and organized. 

-Assisting the floor in prepping, hanging, inspecting and packing jobs. 

This position starts at $22-25 per hour depending on experience. After ninety days, employees are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO) that starts accruing on the first day of employment. They will also be eligible for our Sales Based Production Bonus which accrues monthly if earned and is paid quarterly. Employees are also eligible for Dental, Life Insurance and other like benefits after their initial ninety days also.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements: The following are required to be considered for this position. Failure to show experience on a resume will disqualify the applicant for consideration from this position. 

-Applicant must have one year of experience operating a sit-down forklift. 

-Applicant must have a current, legal driver’s license. 

-Applicant must have reliable transportation to commute to our shop in Tacoma daily. 

-Applicant must be able to speak, write and understand English. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. 

-Applicant must possess current legal documentation to satisfy the requirement of an I-9 that establishes identity and the right to work in the United States. 

-Applicant must be able to lift 50 pounds safely and repetitively.

The following are not mandatory requirements, but would be helpful for this position: 

-Previous experience working in a yard setting. 

-Previous experiences working with different types of metal. 

-Knowledge of measuring using a standard tape measure along with figuring out linear and square footage.
