Yard Hand

Description

Yard hand will be expected to perform manual labor throughout the yard. Duties will include but not be limited to industrial yard work, housekeeping, receiving, and stocking.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain organization of yard with guidance from management

• Consolidating partial containers of same chemical

• Ensure labels are present on all chemicals

• Loading/ unloading incoming and outgoing trucks with chemical

• Housekeeping around the yard

• Repackaging chemical in out of spec containers

• Assisting with yard counts / inventory

• Contacting dedicated company for removal of empty containers

• Collecting incoming and outgoing BOLs for inventory tracking

• Other tasks may be assigned as needed 

Requirements

Qualifications and skills

• Must be highly safety conscious

• Forklift operating experience highly preferred 

Working conditions and Hazards

• Working outside in severe cold and/ or hot conditions

• Working with chemicals that are toxic, corrosive and/ or hazardous 

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
