Yard Hand

Goodhue Boat Company is super busy and we are looking for smart, motivated, and dedicated people to join the team! Our Ossipee Lake marina location has an opening for a Full-time and Seasonal Part-Time Yard Hand. As a yard hand, you will be part of a team the plays a critical role in the smooth running of the marina.

Job Summary:

The Yard Hand will report to the Marina Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Marina. In this position, you will be part of a team that plays a critical role in the seamless service we provide to the customers of our marina.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Move boats around facility using tractors and marina equipment.  


• Launch and stage boats for Technicians and Customers 


• Transport trailered boats using pick-up trucks to other locations.  


• Inspect heavy equipment for damages.  


• Remain up to date on OSHA and company guidelines and ensure they are being followed at the marina.  


• Keep up to date on all heavy marina equipment certifications.  


• Report all equipment damages, accidents, and problems to the Service Manager.  


• Other duties as needed.  

Qualifications:

• Valid Boating License.


• Experience using large tractors.


• Valid Driver’s license, required. Clean driving record, required.  


• Experience using SpeedyDock, preferred.   


• Excellent communication skills.  


• Thrives in a team environment.  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.


• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.


• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.

Education:

• Minimum of High School degree or equivalent.

Salary:

• $18-$22 per hour, based on experience.
