Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Yard Helper will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Transport material through the shop/yard.


• Load trailers safely and efficiently.


• Forklift operation.


• Crane/hoist operation.


• Correctly fill out and maintain paperwork for outgoing loads.


• Maintain proper records for inventory management.


• Unload incoming material.


• Perform yard receiving and inventory control.


• Pull material for production.


• Handle processed materials for staging, storage, and shipping.


• Stage and/or build loads for painting, galvanizing, and shipping.


• Assure that quality of processed materials is kept during handling.


• Provide equipment support at saw.


• Other duties as determined by Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.


• Physical ability to work and maneuver around work areas.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Ability to read and follow written instruction.


• Able to pass Random DOT & Company drug test.


• Clean Driving Record.


• Good math skills.

• Shelby Fabrication Facility


• 2nd Shift


• Monday to Friday
