Yard Jockey - 2nd Shift

Yard Jockey located at a Carlisle, PA facility.  Overall responsible for moving trailers from factories and warehouse along with managing the trailer pool/ yard. These drivers work with over the road incoming and outgoing shipments to help relieve congestion and streamline the transactions. Ideal candidate would be a seasoned CDL driver that can operate and move various styles of equipment and forklifts in an efficient manner.

Pay range is $25-$30 an hour based on experience and ability. This is a full-time job with benefits such as production bonus, attendance bonus, 401K and insurance.

Shifts available 2nd : 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM. Friday and additional overtime will be required when during busy teams and workloads are higher than normal 

This is a local driving job which will start and return at the same location daily.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Operate Yard Dog Truck to move trailers throughout trailer yard

Transport trailers from offsite to onsite locations as needed

Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections

Load and unload freight

The ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 lbs.

The ability to stand or walk as needed throughout the shift.

The ability to read measurements, work or calculate numbers, and use handheld tools.

All other duties as assigned

  A valid driver’s license with a CDL

  Oriented and demonstrates strong commitment to safety

  Flexible in day-to-day task management

  Ability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime

  Ability to use MBCI Production System tools

  Ability to connect and disconnect a yard jockey
