Yard Jockey Switcher driver position

Description

Burton Logistics Solutions is seeking candidates for the position of Switcher Shuttle driver. Position is local driver position requiring switching of trailers and containers from the yard lot to a dock door or shuttling of trailers from warehouse to offsite warehouse.

Full Time: Hours are 3:00pm - 12:00am (Daily - Mon-Fri with Saturdays required periodically)

Location: Northern Winston-Salem area near Rural Hall NC

Starting pay: $19.00 hour - increase pay based upon performance

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to drive a day cab or switcher truck with hydraulic fifth wheel.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather.
• Must be able to use bolt cutters to cut seals off trailers and open/close trailer doors.
• Move trailers to offsite lot locations.

Requirements

• CDL - Class A commercial driver license and valid DOT medical card.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work under pressure and time management.
• 1 year of experience as a Driver / Shifter. Clean background check required.
• Must be available to work extra hours when needed - incl. weekends.
• Knowledge or applicable transportation regulations and laws.
