Yard Maintenance Technician

Description

The Lodging Department at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is seeking a Yard Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance and upkeep of rental properties. This role also supports the Lodging Department with additional tasks as needed.  

This full-time position is scheduled Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and access to property amenities.

Essential Job Functions:

· Perform landscaping tasks, including mowing, weed eating, leaf blowing, and general yard care.

· Inspect home exteriors for erosion, woodpecker damage, moisture issues, overgrown vegetation, and clogged gutters.

· Document findings, write scopes of work, and provide repair recommendations to property owners.

· Prepare outdoor areas before guest arrivals.

· Collect and remove trash from properties.

· Manage and store supplies according to procedures.

· Respond promptly and professionally to owner/guest requests and concerns.

· Perform other duties as needed to ensure property upkeep and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

· Minimum one year of yard maintenance experience required.

· Basic knowledge of lawn care, garden care, fertilization, and plant health preferred.

· Strong teamwork and customer service skills.

· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

· High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to work in hot, humid, and cold environments for extended periods.

· Walk on uneven terrain and hillsides.

· Lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

· Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and handling materials.

· Operate a vehicle for job-related duties.
