Yard Material Handler

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for performing day-to-day yard operations of shipping, receiving, customer service, product loading, and inventory control.  A good attitude and reliable attendance are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assist customers in loading order accurately, work with dispatcher and sales counter to process, prepare, and load sales items for walk-in customers, contractors, and/or dealers.

Unload incoming freight and inspect items for shortages or damages, match with packing slips and additional paperwork.

Keep inventory organized in yard and warehouse.

Education and/or Experience:

·         High school diploma or general education degree

·         Previous experience in masonry, construction, or landscaping fields is desired.

·         Operating construction machinery including forklift and a front-end loader.

Skills and Abilities:

·         Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds.

·         Must be able to climb in and out of lifting equipment.

·         Must be able to communicate with customers and teammates.

·         Work outside most of the day

·         Be able to speak English and Spanish is desired.
