Yard Operator, North Manchester, IN

Description

Springfield Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Yard Worker to fill an opening in our distribution yard in North Manchester, IN. The best candidates for this position are hard workers, have great attendance, work well with customers, love working outdoors year-round and stay on task.

Job duties for this position include:

• Loading and unloading semi-trailers
• Stacking production items in the yard
• Greeting customers, pulling product to load on customer trailers 
• Filing and emailing customer and inventory paperwork
• Regularly communicating with corporate headquarters
• Maintaining company grounds during all seasons
• Operating a forklift
• Boxing orders
• Cleaning and bagging fittings
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
•  Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
•  Forklift experience or certification preferred
• Keep up in a fast-paced environment
• Lift 75 lbs.
• Work independently and staying on task
• Able to push, pull, squat, bend, stretch, crawl, stand, and climb during shift
• Able to complete repetitive motions with hands, arms, feet, legs and back during shift
• Tolerant to all types of outdoor conditions
• Mandatory overtime work hours required
•  Make attendance a top priority
• Follow detailed instructions
