Yard Operator - Opportunity to Make a Difference

Job Type: Full-time 

Comp: $17.50/hr.  

Shift: Days, M-F 7:30am – 4:30pm 
 

Job Description:  
 
We are looking for an experienced Yard Operator in Ashland, VA. This position requires prior experience operating an outdoor rated sit-down forklift. No training offered. Must be able to start immediately.  

Responsibilities:  

• Loading and unloading flatbed trucks using an outdoor rated sit-down forklift.  

• Complete tasks within predefined parameters according to job needs. 

• Work with outbound and inbound truck freight loading and unloading. 

• Yard clean-up when there are no trucks to load, e.g., broken pallets, plastic wrap, straps, i.e.  

• Follow all company safety and operation procedures and policies. 

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 

• Warehouse/manufacturing experience operating Sit-Down. Certifications a plus. 

• Ability to work outside in the yard in various weather conditions. 

• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. 

• Communication skills (verbal and written). 

• Analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Consistent work history. 

• Attention to details. 

• Physical ability to lift heavy weights.
