Reports to (title): Distribution Supervisor

Business Unit: Medford, NY

Job Summary: Ensuring the physical aspects of the property are maintained by cleaning the grounds.

Essential Job Functions:

• Picks up trash on the property and in common areas, which includes but is not limited to driveways, parking lots, curbs, trash receptable areas, exterior and any particular areas.
• Ensure the dumpster area is emptied and kept clean.
• Walks the property several times a day to pick up debris.
• Communicate with the supervisor regarding the status of work and any potential issues.
• Alerts Supervisor or Maintenance to items that need to be repaired.
• Attendance is imperative and this position will be required to maintain regular onsite hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Practice safe working habits and ensure proper PPE is being used.

Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively
• Knowledgeable in safe use of hand tools and other yard cleaning equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work outside in different elements
• Ability to bend and squat repeatedly
