Yard Specialist

About the role: This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe yard environment while also ensuring our equipment and vehicles are properly cleaned and maintained and that all equipment is prepped before delivery. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate basic equipment to maintain the efficient flow of the yard. 

Business Operating Hours/Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

In this role you can expect to:

1. 
   Equipment Preparation
   
   
   
   1. Utilize the pressure washing equipment in the wash bay to clean returned rental equipment.
   
   
   2. Prepare the equipment: fueling, cleanup, and ensure proper supplies, tools, etc.
   
   
   3. Perform visual assessments of equipment to identify any issues or damage.
   
   
   4. Proactively report any equipment problems, shortages, or unsafe conditions.
   
   
   5. Perform minor maintenance services on equipment when directed to do so.
   
   
   6. Greasing, Fluid Top Offs, etc.
   
   
   
   


2. 
   Grounds Maintenance
   
   
   
   1. Clean up the wash bay at the end of each day, ensure everything is returned to its proper place, supplies stocked, etc.
   
   
   2. Maintain the grounds or “yard” and facilities as business needs require.
   
   
   3. Lawncare, Trash, Plowing, etc.
   
   
   4. Ensure the yard is safe. Organized, clean, and meets company standards.
   
   
   
   


3. 
   Loading and Unloading
   
   
   
   1. Load and unload equipment and supplies
   
   
   2. Assist with preparation of equipment that is being rented
   
   
   3. Receive equipment and supplies while ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and delivered to the appropriate department.
   
   
   4. Operate company equipment safely and by all company, state, and federal rules and regulations if required.
   
   
   
   


4. 
   Support
   
   
   
   1. Assist other Departments when instructed to do so.
   
   
   2. Greets customers in yard, helping direct or assist them.
   
   
   3. Assists drivers in loading and unloading equipment or attachments.
   
   
   
   

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Trade School


• Acceptable Driving Record

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment


• Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills


• Integrity- maintain a high level of integrity in your actions and words


• Ability to work in all forms of weather conditions.


• Safety oriented.
