Yard Supervisor

Knight's Precast in Richmond Hill is seeking a Yard Supervisor to ensure all loads are correct, keep the yard organized, and provide direction to the shipping crew.

• Perform all job functions in accordance with company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform all job functions in accordance with company environmental policies and procedures at all times.
• Oversee and coordinate all loading of trucks scheduled by our shipping and production supervisor.
• Oversee all yard pick up loads.
• Make sure all loads match our load book.
• Make sure all loads are marked per Knight’s Precast standards.
• Oversee the organization of all castings.
• Maintain yard organization.
• Direct loader operators to maintain a smooth daily operation.
• Communicate with the Shipping and Production Supervisor whenever there is a discrepancy on a load.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in the precast/logistics field required; five years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a front-end loader.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret shop drawings and plans.
• Working knowledge of construction-related math.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to accept and follow direction as provided by supervisors and ask questions when needed.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in extreme weather, including but not limited to high heat, low temperature, and high sun environments.
