  • Completion of a 200-hour training program
  • 1 year+ experience in field of behavioral health is preferred
  • Minimum of 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification/Group Fitness Certification
  • LPC, LCSW or similar credential in counseling field is preferred
  • Familiarity with recovery principles

Job Summary

Develops and provides safe, professional and comprehensive Yoga training classes that are designed for clients in recovery programs.  Yoga instructor will have an outgoing personality with a strong desire to provide great client service.  Genuine ability to connect with new clients as well as those returning.  Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class with a genuine interest in student success; while adhering to recovery principles.  Minimum 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification/Group Fitness Certification. Current Liability Insurance and CPR certification.  Be willing and available to teach 10 hours/week.  Commit to a minimum 6 month schedule.  Have a strong desire to grow and the ability to take on and integrate feedback.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Arrive to class 15 minutes prior to the class start time
  2. Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to recovery principles
  3. Create a personal connection with each student
  4. Set up classroom appropriately\: props, mat spacing, music, lighting
  5. Provide top notch class instruction that is consistent with the class format and recovery principles
  6. Clean studio space
  7. Ensure proper sign in of each client; track attendance and payment
  8. Meet with clinical supervisor on a weekly basis to discuss program, including client progress and concerns
