Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, special education, rehabilitation or a related human services field and/or three years’ experience in rehabilitation or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to drive a 15 passenger van.
- Must have a valid NC Driver’s License and driving record adhering to Agency standards
Physical Requirements
- The position is considered sedentary to light, requiring 50% sedentary and 50% mobility.
- Lifting less than 10 pounds.
- Requires visual observation and the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals.
Compensation
- $19 to $23 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
