Location: Casa Nuestra, Chula Vista
Schedule: Schedule listed below may vary to meet the various needs of the program. Must work at least two PM shifts per week.
Tuesday – Saturday: AM Shift- 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
PM Shift-1:30 – 10 p.m.
Sunday – Monday: As needed

Program
Casa Nuestra is an emergency shelter for youth with justice or child welfare contact, or at risk of homelessness who need temporary housing to avoid detention while waiting for more permanent housing, placement, or reunification with parent or guardian after a crisis event. Casa Nuestra is available to youth who have either been arrested and/or referred to San Diego County’s Alternatives to Detention (ATD) or the Community Assessment Team or Juvenile Diversion (CAT/JD), as well as homeless youth referred by community entities (e.g., churches, schools) or youth on Probation (Ward).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator and Program Director, the Youth and Family Development Associate (YFDA) is responsible for providing trauma-informed services to youth who reside at Casa Nuestra as part of SBCS’s Alternatives to Detention (ATD) or Community Assessment Team (CAT) programs. The YFDA’s primary responsibility is to provide case management for each youth residing at Casa Nuestra. Services will be in keeping with the agency goals, objectives, mission, and style provided within a team framework. YFDA is responsible for working with the team in developing team goals and objectives and in meeting those goals and objectives, including but not limited to:
