Youth and Family Director

Are you passionate about youth development, family enrichment, and building a stronger community? The St. Cloud Area Family YMCA is seeking a dynamic Youth & Family Director to lead and grow programs that serve children and families through recreation, education, and meaningful engagement.

Position Summary

As the Youth & Family Director, you will oversee a variety of youth and family programs, including childcare, enrichment activities, and recreational offerings. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring high-quality experiences for participants, supervising staff, managing budgets, and maintaining safety and compliance. You will also serve as a community liaison, building partnerships and advancing the mission of the YMCA.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage youth and family programs aligned with YMCA goals.
• Oversee daily program operations, ensuring safety, inclusivity, and high quality.
• Hire, train, supervise, and support program staff and volunteers.
• Maintain compliance with state and local licensing and safety regulations.
• Build strong relationships with community partners and program participants.
• Monitor and manage department budgets to meet fiscal goals.
• Support marketing, recruitment, and registration efforts.
• Lead and model the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in youth programming, childcare, or recreation.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse community members.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends.

Work Hours

This is a full-time role with core hours of 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support special programs and events.
