Job Overview:

The Youth Apprenticeship—Bindery Assistant is an entry-level position that provides a hands-on learning experience for individuals eager to develop practical skills in printing. The apprenticeship provides extensive on-the-job training alongside experienced team members to create and deliver our customers' highest-quality products at the lowest possible cost through continuous improvement activities. The primary purpose of this role is stacking, packing, and preparing finished products for shipment. This position is part of the skills for the CESA 7 Youth Apprenticeship Program.

Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary

• Know, understand, and follow all Safety guidelines/practices.
• Become certified to perform all tasks relative to an area.
• Perform all assigned Planned Maintenance tasks according to schedule/instructions.
• Maintain workplace organization standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidates chosen for the Youth Apprentice Program must enroll in the CESA 7 Youth Apprenticeship Program. To complete the program, apprentices need to work 450 hours during the designated period, at least 250 hours during the school year.
• Must be 16 years of age and finishing his/her sophomore or junior year of high school.

• Math Skills (i.e., counting, decimals, fractions, measurement, logic)
• Ability to take direction and learn by doing
