Position Title: Youth Coordinator/Middle School Pastor

Reports To: Youth Director

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Youth Coordinator | Middle School Pastor role at Journey Church is to work with the Youth Director and Coordinators in creating and executing a holistic discipleship model for middle school and high school students that aligns with Journey Church's vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute high impact weekly middle school YTH Nights.


• Coordinate volunteer teams and lead them in the overall vision and strategy of Journey Youth.


• Pastor and relationally connect with students on YTH Nights at the Lake Worth Campus.


• Develop and regularly train Middle School Student Leaders for YTH Nights.


• Oversee the teaching in Middle School while teaching at least twice a month.


• Handle weekly and monthly communications with students, leaders, and parents (texts, socials, emails).


• Connect with students and recruit adults in lobby on Sunday mornings.


• Influence a Middle School club through First Priority (school campuses).


• Attend school events that your students are involved in.

Administrative

• Oversee middle school workflows for onboarding volunteers.


• Background check and schedule middle school team members in PCO.


• Ensure supplies and environments are ready to go on Wednesday nights.


• Participate in Small Group Leader training.


• Assist in stewarding ministry expenses and budget.

Additional:

• Communicate and create clarity around the values of Journey Church's culture within Journey Youth.


• Promote and serve at church wide ministry events.


• Lead a group or participate in a group.


• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Sunday Responsibilities:

• Relationally connect with students and parents at your assigned campus.


• Assist with additional responsibilities given by Campus Pastor.
  

Qualifications / Experience:

• 1-3 years staff experience within a Youth Ministry.


• Experience in organizing multiple people.


• Organized, flexible, able to multitask.


• Strong oral & written skills.


• Strong interpersonal people skills.

• Models standards and expectations of leaders within Journey Church


• Aligns with Journey's spiritual beliefs and staff values
