Position Overview:
The Program Director oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of the LYNC program including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.  Creating an effective program culture is one of the most important roles of the Program Director.  This individual is required to work successfully with representatives from various communities, organizations and neighborhoods with respect to diverse populations and cultures it serves and seeks to serve. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees the day-to-day administrative functions of the program, which includes:
  • Timely acknowledgement of referrals and contact with youth and family;
  • Timely completion of intake and screening assessments;
  • Monitoring of staff schedules and tracking of staff trainings;
  • Development of group schedules that minimize wait times;
  • Compliance with all portions of quality assurance expectations;
  • Attendance at key stakeholder and community meetings.
• Plan the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and values of the agency.
• Maintains open and transparent communication with staff, referral source and with JBCSSD Compliance Staff.
• Establishes a safe and welcoming environment and a risk reduction culture that promotes behavior change.
• Oversees the collection and maintenance of records on the clients of the program for statistical purposes according to the confidentiality/privacy policy of the agency.
• Functions as a role model and resource to staff ensuring staff receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with agency standards.
• Supervise program staff by providing direction, input and feedback.
• Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to gain community support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program.
• Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program.

• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Full-time 35 hours per week
  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Tuesday and Thursday 10:00am-6:00pm
  • May require flexible scheduling depending on department's needs
• $60,000 - $70,000 per year
  • Actual pay is determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, certifications, scope, and performance, as well as market rates, internal equity, budget constraints, the role’s responsibilities, candidate’s unique qualifications, potential for growth, benefits, and organizational policies.

• Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, or Human Services with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role working in community-based, juvenile justice setting OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, or Human Services and a minimum of 4 years’ post-degree experience in a supervisory role working in community-based, juvenile justice setting; experience working with juvenile justice involved youth and their families in a community-based setting and strong management skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge in administrative responsibilities.
• Demonstrated understanding of risk-needs-responsivity principles, and risk reduction initiatives.
