LIBRARY ASSISTANT / YOUTH SERVICES
University City Public Library is hiring! If you are outgoing, creative, self-motivated, and possess both a positive attitude and a strong desire to help and work with children, teens, and their families, please apply. Schedule: Part-time, evenings and weekends. Fixed but flexible scheduling, approximately 8-12 hours per week.
Reports to: Head of Youth Services
Pay: Range starts at $16.64
Benefits: Vacation and sick leave accrual, holiday pay depending on schedule
Required Qualities: Fine attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, ability to handle busy work periods calmly and handle challenging situations with tact, as well as initiative, motivation, and enthusiasm.
Desired Qualities: Familiarity with children’s literature and media and comfort with technology such as ipads
