About the Position
Under general supervision of the Director of Client Services, the YWCA Survivor Empowerment and Support Services Manager oversees all aspects of YWCA SHR’s trauma-informed, empowerment-centered crisis services. This includes direct supervision of hotline advocates, coordination of emergency response protocols, and collaboration with internal teams and community partners to ensure consistent, culturally competent care. With 24/7/365 responsibility for crisis response operations, the manager plays a vital leadership role in empowering survivors with dignity, safety, and resources for healing.

The YWCA Survivor Empowerment and Support Services Manager is expected to model the YWCA SHR Core Values:
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a typical office environment with a high standard of confidentiality. A typical work week is M-F 9:00am-5:00pm. May require occasional travel across Hampton Roads for outreach, training, or collaboration.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the oversight of all hotline advocates, interns, and volunteers. This includes general coaching and mentoring, goal creation and tracking, timesheet review, new staff onboarding, performance reviews, and training as necessary.

COMPENSATION: This position offers a hiring range of $45,000 - $49,000 that is based on experience and a full benefits packet to include health, vision, and dental insurance, 17 paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, retirement and other benefits.
