Zingerman’s Bakehouse is looking for a Classroom Assistant for Bake!, our public baking school for home bakers. Join our experienced and dedicated Bake! Team to create and share memorable baking experiences with some of the best bakers and guests around! 

Our classroom assistants set up classes before students arrive, support the instructor during class by handing out ingredients, clearing dirty equipment from the work benches, helping students, baking the teacher’s and students’ recipes, and helping to pack up the baked goods for students to take home. They then clean up the room after class and assist in washing dishes. It is an active job good for someone with good interpersonal skills, a strong preference for organization and systems, and basic baking skills.

Compensation: $15.50/hour starting pay, negotiable based on experience

Availability:

• Full-time; up to 40 hours per week
• Most of our classes are on the weekend and weekday evenings so you will need to be available for both. We are open Wednesday through Sunday.

Physical Demands:

• Can work standing for several hours at a time. 
• Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly; 50 occasionally
