Job Description - z/OS Storage Systems Advisor

Strategy and Design. The z/OS Storage Systems Architect provides the highest levels of technical support in mainframe storage systems on a statewide level for Enterprise Information Services. The z/OS Storage Systems Architect designs, monitors and manages SMS storage pools for application and system data, implements and supports backup processes for all z-series data, assists in planning for storage hardware acquisition, configuration, initialization and implementation. The z/OS Storage Systems Architect also evaluates storage related software, determines compatibility, performs cost/benefit analyses, and recommends changes.
