Reporters, editors and data analysts around the world collaborate to bring readers breaking news and in-depth reporting on the regulatory changes, deal activity and business trends impacting the financial sector. Responsibilities and Impact: The U.S. financials team at S&P Global Market Intelligence is looking for a skilled reporter to cover all aspects of deals in the banking sector. As a bank deals reporter, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting on mergers, acquisitions, capital markets and other strategic transactions involving banks and credit unions. You will provide in-depth coverage explaining the rationale behind the transactions and develop insightful analysis on deal trends. The reporter will also write about the advisers on the deals, and regulation impacting financial institution deal landscape.

• Follow industry news.
• Compose enterprise articles on key developments.
• Cover deal calls, investor conferences and other industry events.

With a focus on data-driven content, you will work closely with analysts and experts to uncover emerging industry trends.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent experience
• Openness to editorial feedback
• Prior reporting experience
• Command of journalistic standard methodology (AP style, libel issues, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of financial market & economic trend analysis
• Experience with data journalism

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $56,392 - $113,135. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
