Position Summary:

As a Business Analyst for the Data Engineering Team, you will play a key role in enhancing the business value of data processes, workflows, and solutions that support our extensive chain of convenience stores and gas stations. You will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to analyze data needs, optimize data-driven strategies, and ensure that our data solutions align with business objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Strong BA Capabilities with 8+ years of experience in understanding customer problem statements from business perspective and translating them to solve for solutions, enable technical team and collaborate with client stakeholders.
  
• Proficiency in SQL and a robust understanding of Azure platforms and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in Azure, Data Bricks, Azure Data Factory is a plus.
  
• Able to review QA test cases and perform User Acceptance Testing
  
• Good knowledge and working experience in Retail industry, Convenience store/Fuels Industry preferred.
  
• Job Responsibilities:
  
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges, and requirements.
  
• Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements, ensuring they are clear, complete, and aligned with the organization's goals.
  
• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
  
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including business requirements, use cases, process flows, and user acceptance criteria.
  
• Provide subject matter expertise to guide decision-making and support business process re-engineering efforts.
  
• Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure the delivered solutions meet business requirements.
  
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  
• Experience in process mapping, workflow analysis, and business process modeling.
  
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, SAFe Agile.
  
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a data-centric role within the retail industry.

Strong understanding of data processes and how they relate to business objectives.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools.
