Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and Maintain Equipment:   You’ll conduct regular inspections of mechanical equipment, keeping detailed logs of operating conditions.
• Prioritize Work Orders:   From minor repairs to major maintenance tasks, you’ll prioritize and complete assigned work orders promptly.
• Coordinate Contractors:   Working closely with contractors, you’ll assist them in isolating building systems as needed and monitor their workmanship.
• Preventative Maintenance:   Through our preventative maintenance program, you’ll ensure the buildings’ mechanical equipment remains in optimal condition.
• Effective Communication:   You’ll collaborate with property managers, retail maintenance leads, and tenants to address maintenance issues and keep everyone informed.
• Access Management:   Providing access to the building for leasing, construction, and other purposes will be part of your daily routine.
• Team Support:   As part of our team, you’ll provide coverage and support for maintenance and day porter activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience:   You should have at least 1 year of general maintenance and operations experience, including knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, roofing, and interior repairs relevant to retail properties.
• Technical Skills: Diagnose building systems issues.
• Communication:   Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for effective collaboration.
• Driver’s License:   A valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record is required.
• Physical Stamina:   You must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, climb ladders, and safely operate rigging and lifting devices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Common Area Maintenance:   From trash removal to window cleaning, power washing, and landscaping, you’ll keep our shopping center’s common areas in top shape.
• Inspections:   Regular inspections of roof systems, tenant spaces, structural elements, and more will be part of your responsibilities.
• Safety First:   Conduct daily liability and safety inspections to address any hazards promptly.
• Availability:   You may need to be on-call during weekends and work after hours for scheduled or emergency maintenance functions.
