Job Description - Data Analyst

About the Role: The Role: Data Analyst What’s in it for you: As a new member of our team, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, contributing to informed decision-making across the entire organisation. Working collaboratively with various departments and functions, including Sales, Product Owners, and Senior Management, you will have the opportunity to engage with diverse teams and gain exposure to a wide range of products and business functions. In this dynamic role, you will not only be responsible for designing and implementing BI solutions but will also actively participate in understanding and addressing the unique data requirements of different teams. The scope of your work will encompass the entirety of our organization, providing you with a holistic view of our business landscape. As a fresh graduate, this role provides a fantastic platform to not only apply your academic knowledge but also to develop a deep understanding of how data-driven insights impact diverse aspects of our business. You will be encouraged to collaborate, communicate effectively, and contribute to the overall success of our BI initiatives while enjoying exposure to a multitude of products and functions within a globally connected organization. Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and data needs Report and Dashboard Development: Create visually appealing and user-friendly reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Looker & Tableau Customise and enhance existing reports based on user feedback and evolving business needs Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, IT, and management, to gather requirements and provide insights Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders Data Management: Design, develop, and maintain data warehouses and databases for efficient data storage and retrieval Optimise database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues Data pipeline processes: Develop and implement data pipeline processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from various sources Collaborate with IT teams to enhance data quality and consistency Continuous Learning: Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics Proactively seek opportunities for skill development and training What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment Strong communication skills Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of business intelligence Preferred Qualifications: Internship or academic projects related to business intelligence or data analytics Knowledge of SQL and database management Familiarity with data modelling and data warehousing concepts Basic programming skills (e.g, Python) Interest in financial markets About OSTTRA Candidates should note that OSTTRA is an independent firm, jointly owned by S&P Global and CME Group.
