Dock Worker

Our Distribution Center and Transportation Partners are key to helping stock H-E-B Stores and keeping our supply chain moving all over Texas and Mexico. As a Dock Worker for H-E-B Transportation, you'll load and unload trailers, safely and thoroughly. You'll operate MHE and promote a safe, clean work environment. Transportation Operations:
- Plans and facilitates daily loading and unloading of H-E-B trailers of specific reusables (e.g., pallets, plastic trays and crates, boxes, wrap, ties, assorted returns)
- Loads and unloads trailers in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with SOPs; unloads completely
- Maintains clean trailers; operates wash equipment; washes trailers as needed
- Operates material handling equipment
- Promotes a safe and clean work environment
- Maintains a sense of urgency; always prompt and punctual
- Escalates issues outside parameters to appropriate parties What is your background?
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

- Knowledge of warehouse process for sanitation, including cleaning agents, supplies, and related tools
- Working knowledge of related local, state, and federal regulations (preferred)
- Math skills (+, -, *, /)
- Reading and writing skills

- Bi-lingual (English - Spanish) skills a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively

- Ability to operate machines and equipment in a safe, independent manner
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in pallet jack and forklift operation
- Ability to operate H-E-B in-house systems (e.g., TINA)
