The Associate Director of Catering hires, trains, manages and coaches a team of catering sales and event planning managers and event coordinators. Primary sales efforts are focused in Banquet Food and Beverage, and include menu planning, detailing, agenda setting and hotel meeting services. Duties also include hosting and conducting site visits, have a vast knowledge of contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service. The Associate Director of Catering is responsible to assist in providing leadership in all selling activities within the hotel, working closely with the Rooms, Food and Beverage and other revenue-generating departments to maximize event sales. They will have reporting and forecasting responsibilities. Additionally, they will be required to carry and achieve a quota and/or service groups. The ADOC will work closely with the hotel operations team to design and/or uphold CAA standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Candidates with 3-5 years of event sales and event planning experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Preferred candidates will have previous Hyatt experience and the desire to grow towards a Director position.   • A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good operational, organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Finding solutions to difficult problems to enhance the event experience for the meeting planner and attendees
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Create and assist in preparing policies and procedures.
  • Understand and support hotel's overall goals and objectives.
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
