IV Pharmacy Technician
Horsham, PA 19044 Part Time- and Full-Time hours available For Full Time Hours, here’s the work schedule:

• Wednesday to Wednesday, 8am-6:30am
• Work for 8 days and off for 6 days
• Need to work 2 weekends/month

Part Time Schedule: (if interested)

• Monday and Tuesday 8am to 6:30am

Required:

• PTCB certification

About the position:

• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and performs related activities under the direction of a pharmacist.
• Assists in the set-up of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.
• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to perform pharmacy calculations and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Ability to apply basic phone etiquette skills when speaking to customers.
• Knowledge of proper gowning procedure and aseptic technique.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in retail, compounding or specialty pharmacy.
• Effective communication skills.

Desired:

• Knowledge of IV products and compounding procedures.
• General knowledge of USP 797 and cGMP’s.
• Technician registration where required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) and certificate from accredited school in states where required.
• Experience in aseptic preparation of compounded sterile products.

Work Environment:

• Indoors, cleanroom, working environment limited to a small area, wearing protective cleanroom attire and tolerating controlled temperatures.
