Job Description - National Account Manager

This is a remote position.

Position Summary:

The National Accounts Manager is responsible for developing and guiding the implementation of the account-specific business plan; achieving account profitability and sales targets; serving as the primary account contact; and providing account leadership. This individual will also be responsible for the increased distribution of key brand items through account prospecting and new product demonstration/promotion to existing accounts. The National account manager would have experience and relationships with several large Golfing organizations. 

Definitions:

  • National Account: An entity that utilizes commercial OPE and robotics as part of its commercial landscape and turf/property maintenance program. This organization conducts business on a multi-state level or has been identified as a non-governmental/university organization requiring National Account focus and service.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop account strategies by the overall business strategy.  
  • Develop account goals and business plans with customers.  
  • Conduct regular reviews of business performance, promotion strategies, and planograms.  
  • Partnering with the marketing department in promotional development.  
  • Forecast, budget, and track account revenues and costs.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the account's financial support program, business building program, and support logistics on supply chain programs.
  • Present the Kress business model and ROI to key stakeholders of National Account partners and prospects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 5-8 years of sales and/or marketing experience.  
  • Experience managing national retail customers (HQ level preferred).  
  • Demonstrated skills in achieving sales, profitability, and budget goals.  
  • Ability to implement sales effectively and marketing strategies.
  • Ability to monitor category performance versus plan effectively and communicate accordingly.
  • Ability to understand trade spending effectiveness (efficiency of promotional activity is preferred).  
  • Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customers.  
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders internally and with customers.
