Job Description - Retail Account Executive

at Vontier in Dover, Delaware, United States

Our Retail Account Executive owns the relationship with our enterprise customers. They are the link between our technical product teams and our customers. This position will ensure that we capture the full solution description and details for our customers. This position has a balance of account management and technical knowledge – it is important that you can link our development teams with the solution for our customer. You will travel to meet with clients as well as to client labs and initial installations of new solutions, typically 25 – 50% travel.

This is a critical role focused on our customers – you will be working within an agile environment, and provide a vital link between the customers, product, and development teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

This position will be focused on acting as a link between our customers and looking after the technical end to end management of the account. You will hold responsibility for key accounts.

Responsibilities include:

+ Manage complex enterprise customer accounts with multiple solutions deployed ($5m+ ARR )

+ Interface with customer executives in marketing, IT, operations, technology, etc. on a daily/weekly basis to ensure program clarity.

+ Work with the customers’ staff to develop requirements documents, statement of work, specific feature definitions as required by our development team. Clarify client requests that are unclear to our development teams.

+ Operate as an overall single point of contact during discovery, development, and deployment phases – manage all dialogs with customer for product and engineering teams.

+ Run weekly governance on programs (prepare materials, synthesize inputs from customer, and internal product, engineering and delivery teams)

+ De-escalate issues by leveraging product knowledge and technical competence.

+ Bring experts as required to solve problems – with a focus on how we deliver solutions.

+ Prepare action plans for accelerating solutions and/or remedying issues.

+ Farm the account for additional opportunities and drive the definition and discovery phases on all opportunities.

+ Ensure account hygiene with call plans and technical product dialogs.

+ Ensure SFDC and solution sales process hygiene.

+ Understand account P&L and work to improve performance

+ 3+ years’ experience with solution selling to enterprise accounts

+ 3+ years’ experience with payment solutions preferred

+ 3+ years’ experience supporting customers’ large-scale technology solutions

+ Ideally you have experience leading large accounts B2B with technical products

+ 5+ years relevant experience in a similar or transferrable role

+ Experience communicating customer requirements to product and software engineer team

+ Commercial mindset, preferably with exposure to professional services environments

+ Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills

+ Technology nous with the ability to learn new concepts.

The base compensation range for this position is $128,800 to $160,700 per year. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
