Responsibilities
• Contact customers with overdue accounts to facilitate payments • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers • Maintain accurate records of collection activities • Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries • Build and maintain positive customer relationships • Generate and analyze reports on collection activities • Ensure compliance with debt collection laws and regulations • Prepare and review documentation related to debt collection • Collaborate with management team to provide updates on collection performance • May be assigned other duties as needed
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree a plus • Proven experience in debt collection or similar role in retail industry • Strong negotiation and communication skills • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection • Proficiency in using collection software and Microsoft Office • Excellent organizational and time management abilities • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to use standard computer and phone systems • Must be able to travel to remote locations
