Position Title:  Retail Loss Mitigation Advisor 
Department: Retail Loss Mitigation
Position Reports to: Loss Mitigation Manager and Assistant Manager
Position Supervises: No Direct Reports

Position Summary:

The Retail Loss Mitigation Advisor position is responsible for performing collection duties on delinquent accounts including making calls and managing, preparing, and up-keep of accurate records for loans. Demonstrate and implement our Trusted Advisor strategy to all internal and external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Basic collection calls to customers on delinquent accounts.
• Establish Quality Right Party Contact with customers within the established investor guidelines.
• Utilize telephone, electronic and regular mail, and personal and/or third party vendors for contact.
• Follow collection que guidelines to ensure all accounts are worked in a timely manner to achieve servicing standards and control losses.
• Basic processing of transactions for the department.
• Answer phones and assist with external and internal client questions.
• Assist in monthly reporting as assigned.
• Basic understanding of managing bankruptcies.
• Prepare department packets and letters as instructed.
• Participate in department projects.
• Assist with monthly property inspection process.
• Preparation of information for attorneys.
• Basic knowledge of Premier Bank’s policies and procedures, demonstrates ability to apply knowledge to make basic decisions that are within the individual bounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Certification, License and Experience (level will be determined by the candidate's experience and skills):

Retail Loss Mitigation Advisor 1

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• a minimum of 1 year of experience in retail banking or collections

Retail Loss Mitigation Advisor 2

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years loan and collection experience
• 1 year experience in servicing investor loans; i.e. Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, VA, FHA is desirable.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of Company operations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Responsible for knowing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering rules, Right to Financial Privacy, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and other laws and regulations as they pertain to the position.
• Experience in Word, Excel, and FIS.
• Solid writing, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to utilize technology in solving problems and performing duties.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.

Option to work onsite/remote schedule once established.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear, stand or sit for long periods of time, open filing cabinets, walk, stoop or bend, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and complete tasks requiring manual dexterity. Ability to drive a vehicle for travel is required for the position.
