Under the direction of the District Sales Supervisor or Lottery Sales Manager, the Permanent Intermittent District Sales Representative is critical in maintaining balance in the District Offices by filling in when an existing territory has been vacated by a District Sales Representative due to promotion, retirement, vacation, medical leave, etc. A Permanent Intermittent District Sales Representative position mirrors that of a District Sales Representative in every way except that they are not assigned a permanent territory. This position can be utilized in many ways when covering an individual territory or multiple territories as needed. The Permanent Intermittent District Sales Representative serves as the liaison in field contacts between the California State Lottery (CSL) and approximately 130-180 Lottery retail accounts. The Permanent Intermittent District Sales Representative may be asked to travel statewide. The District Sales Representative/PI is assigned a state van and conducts field visits with a predetermined portion of the assigned Lottery retailers in his/her territory each day to maintain direct contact with retailers and provide assistance in the marketing of Lottery products.
