The Porter is highly-organized, highly-motivated worker who takes pride in maintaining a clean and attractive experience for customers.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities::
● Oversee the delivery or return of vehicles to the dealership
● Required to check cars in; clean off any auction related lettering and stickers from all windows;
● Required to follow guidelines for parking cars (see Porter manual)
● Responsible for presenting a clean, washed, vacuumed, new plate frames and FMC sticker on all customer vehicles
● Maintains quality and cleanliness to all vehicles, wash if necessary; be familiar with vehicle
washing procedures
● Regularly inspects every vehicle for possible damage or blemishes and report those problems to management
● Able to maneuver vehicles carefully in crowded spaces, moving and parking vehicles for maximum lot efficiency
● Make sure every vehicle is displayed in its best possible state; consider internal vehicles vs. customer vehicles
● Monitors each vehicle’s gas, water levels, tire pressure, battery life; check all vehicles for
suspensions that have fallen
● Able to occasionally engage with customers; must be friendly and informative, able to answer
customer questions in a professional, conversational manner
● Deliver and checkout completed internal cars to sales detail row
● Monitor customer parking, making sure spots are available
General lot maintenance::
● all garbage on pavement to be picked up daily
● required to maintain cleanliness on driveways and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary, lot to be pressure washed as needed
● vehicles are to be condensed in parking spots as often as possible as to make room for new units
arriving
● junk tires are to be piled neatly by the East service bay doors
● willing to fix worn or broken lot facilities and equipment
General building maintenance::
● sweep and mop shop floors
● vacuum all carpeted areas upstairs and down
● clean bathrooms including all fixtures
● clean windows in man door daily
Physical Demands / Requirements::
● Duties performed in a variety of settings and surrounding environment. Physical activities are
required, such as but not limited to kneeling, reaching, stooping, climbing ladders, frequent
walking, standing, lifting, up to approximately 50 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment
weighing up to approximately 75 pounds may be required. The worker is subject to inside and
outside environmental conditions, noise and hazards. The environment also exposes the employee to potentially hazardous substances.
Dress Code::
Solid black t-shirts and jackets, undershirts solid black, dark blue jeans or black pants, shoes to be black or gray. Freeman hats or solid black hats or beanie.
No competing logos present unless approved.
Education and Experience::
● high school diploma or equivalent required
Key Competencies::
● able to operate vehicles with manual transmissions
● able to safely operate company and client vehicles
● must have a valid Oregon drivers license with insurable driving record
● must be familiar with basic email and computer skills, phone, cordless drill/screwdriver, battery
charger
● must have an eye for detail
● must dress in a neat and tidy manner and adhere to company dress code
● must be able to meet the physical demands essential functions of the job
● must be willing to take direction
● should be mature and highly motivated
● must be able to maintain effective personal relationships with supervisory, staff members and
customers.
● must be flexible in hours
● ability to adapt to change as we are a growing company
● must be willing to submit to a pre-employment criminal background check and results must meet
company standards
● must be willing to adhere to random drug testing and results must be clean

The Porter will be assigned a schedule by the AutoSpa Manager and expected to adhere
to that schedule as long as they are present during their normal schedule. Company meetings are held the beginning of every month for one hour, and all Lot Porters should be prompt and in attendance.
