PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES OF POSITION

Increase sales/job orders in the New Castle County, Delaware territory by making regular  personal and telephone contacts with accounts in that territory.

COMPENSATION

Base Salary position, PLUS expected performance-based commissions, bonuses, mileage reimbursement, paid holidays and PTO. Express will provide diverse training and continuous mentorship.

ROLE OF THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Sales Representative's main responsibility is to implement the office's sales plan by conducting outside sales calls to existing and prospective clients within the New Castle County territory. It is important that the sales representative have a thorough understanding of the services Express offers and how to present those services to prospects and clients.

The successful Express Sales Representative will gather information about a number of subjects.

A variety of skills are necessary in order to become and remain a successful Express Sales Representative. Among these are:

  • Skills in selling and a willingness to further develop those skills.
  • Ability to manage time.
  • Ability to identify and reach decision makers.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Administrative skills (record keeping, report preparation, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Establish New Business Accounts

  • Develop and maintain reliable sources of information that provide timely and accurate data about new business opportunities.
  • Analyze the local market for potential application of contingent staffing options and recruiting services.
  • Conduct prescribed number of personal sales calls on all prospective clients within the established marketing territory, obtaining information about prospect's business, decision makers, and new business opportunities.
  • Conduct follow-up calls as necessary.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective client decision maker(s).
  • Deliver service agreements and job orders to the appropriate internal staff member or franchisee.
  • Obtain and transmit client credit history to Express Services, Inc. Credit Department for approval.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Essential activities are conducted away from the local office and within various office and plant settings.
  • Constant travel requires exposure to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions.
  • Must be able to work effectively under stress of daily travel, deadlines, commitments, and client problems.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle, climb stairs, and carry necessary marketing materials, gifts, and supplies.
