Pharmacy Liaison - Inpatient

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Meds to Beds (MTB) Technician is responsible for enrolling patients into the bedside medication delivery program. In addition, the Meds to Beds technician will coordinate the filling, delivery, counseling, and billing of prescriptions to the patient's rooms prior to discharge. As a certified pharmacy technician, the meds to beds technician will also assist with basic duties performed in an outpatient ambulatory pharmacy including but not limited to prescription processing, insurance processing, prior authorization, or other duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
National Certification (Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration are required. Graduation from high school or its equivalent is required. College or commercial school courses in basic sciences, mathematics, business or other related areas and/or completion of technician training program is preferred. Two or more years experience as pharmacy technician (CPhT) or equivalent is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Previous sales experience and customer services orientation is highly desired.
