Job Summary:
The Utilities Division recommends thoroughly researched, sound regulatory policy and rate recommendations to the Commissioners, based on a balanced analysis of the benefits and impacts on all stakeholders and consistent with the public interest. We are looking for an entry-level analyst in our Finance & Regulatory Analysis Section.
Job Duties:
You will assist other Commission staff in calculating basic technical analysis and audit work on small water and wastewater companies. You may also be tasked directly with responsibility for those analyses. Your responsibilities include learning our audit procedures, conducting in-house audits and summarizing findings, reviewing compliance filings and documents for sales and mergers of small utilities, and making recommendations to the Commission regarding the filings of small utilities for approval of rates, financing, and mergers. Your assignments typically involve working within a team to meet deadlines in the delivery of staff reports and testimony for Commission hearings and open meetings.
