Job Description - Regional Sales Director

Location: Remote, Anywhere in the US Compensation: $95,000-$105,000. Plus benefits and Eligibility for Commission (uncapped) About Us: We are a mission-driven national non-profit organization dedicated to breaking down barriers and fostering equitable access to rigorous college and career-prep courses for underserved and underrepresented students. Leveraging technology and collaborative efforts, we provide invaluable student insights and tailored action plans to schools, districts, and states, empowering them to increase and sustain enrollment of marginalized students in advanced academic pathways. With a decade-long commitment to educational equity, we've partnered with over 800 schools nationwide, including some of the largest districts in the country, enrolling an additional 52,000 students of color and low-income students in challenging academic programs. The Opportunity: As the Regional Sales Director reporting to the Senior Director, Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth within our education vertical. Your responsibilities will include establishing and nurturing relationships with new partners, advancing district partnerships, and guiding them through the contract stage of our partnership lifecycle. Key Priorities During Your First Year: Meet and exceed revenue and profitability goals, aiming for a significant increase from $500,000 to over $1 million by 2025.
Serve as an ambassador for our organization, effectively presenting our program offerings and their impact to school district leaders.
Recruit a new cohort of approximately 20 public schools annually, providing them with a positive introduction to our mission and partnership model.
Identify, cultivate, and nurture new leads within your assigned territory, adapting your sales approach to the regional landscape and cultural climate. What You'll Do: Present and persuade school district leadership about our mission, vision, and values.
Build and maintain a network of district contacts at various levels to ensure effective communication throughout the sales cycle.
Collaborate with our new Sales Operations team to utilize data-driven strategies for business development.
Streamline processes and implement systems to enhance the efficiency of our sales operations.
Continually track and manage communications, statuses, and documentation using Salesforce-CRM. Who You Are: You are deeply committed to our mission of promoting access, belonging, and success for marginalized students.
You have a proven track record in sales presentations and relationship management, particularly with high-level decision-makers in school districts.
You excel at communication, whether addressing small groups or large audiences.
You are results-oriented, strategic, and capable of navigating complex educational landscapes.
You prioritize inclusion and equity in your partnerships and communications.
You are persuasive, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Travel: Approximately 40% of your time will involve travel, including district engagements, conferences, and team retreats. Requirements and Skills Needed: Preferred: Masters/BA in education, business, or related fields; strong relevant experience will be considered.
5+ years of experience in sales/marketing or working with K-12 school districts.
Proven success in influencing senior management within school districts.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Strong project management abilities.
