Job Description - Sales Representative

Residential Flooring Sales Representative We are looking for a sales representative for a well-known flooring company in business over 100 years, successful and fast growing! The right candidate will assist, design, educate and sell all types of high quality flooring materials and installation services for carpet, area rugs, hardwood, and more. Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Greet incoming guest's entering our showroom, assisting them with selections, design and knowledgeable advice for all their flooring projects.
  • Occasionally visit client's home to assess their space /décor to better understand the scope of their project & design style, to possibly handle any service issues or to better review client's estimate to help close their order.
  • Provide detailed estimates (materials & labor) for all types of flooring.
  • Diligently follow-up on all leads & estimates to help close orders.
  • Track sales performance for success / sales goals are met.
  • Participate in ongoing product knowledge and sales training sessions to be a successful flooring specialist.
  • Assist in keeping samples and showroom looking clean and organized.
  • Participate in bi-weekly sales meetings
Other Details:
  • Professional Sales experience is a MUST.
  • Design experience is an added plus!
  • Previous experience in flooring, home decorating / furnishings or home remodeling experience is helpful but not necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary.
  • Minimum 4+ years of successful sales experience
  • Previous professional sales training experience helpful but not necessary.
  • Demonstrates ambition and drive
