Sales Representative
Remote in Sacramento, CA
- Base Salary, plus commissions
THE POSITION:
- This in excellent career opportunity, with training, and unlimited growth and continued training for a sales representative to perform Outbound Calls, Business Development, and Outside Sales.
- Join a WBO, certified reseller of IT Hardware, software, electronics, and peripherals to the Public Sector catering to the SLED markets with the knowledge and resources to help customers to analyze product and pricing.
- In this role, you will cultivate the many opportunities afforded to small women owned businesses by making outbound calls, building relationships by phone, checking in on customers, and scheduling appointments to sell to the state, city and county. Build strong communication in person, by phone, and by email to be the point of contact when a customer needs to purchase equipment and supplies. In this role, you must be fearless on the phone to make outbound sales calls to new and existing contacts on a target list using ACT software.
- This could be a great career role for a recent college grad with customer service or sales experience, or alternately, a great career moves for a successful outbound call center employee seeking to learn and grow in a progressive sales role.
30-day Outlook
60-90-day Outlook
- Outbound calls to new and existing clients, introductions, relationship development, scheduling follow ups, setting appointments, and ideally taking sales orders. Continued outbound development, making site visits, taking sales orders, and expanding company footprint to build a stronger book of business.
6 Month Outlook
- Order Entry and order processing.
- Strong client account management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- A college degree is a plus but not required
- You must be willing to train in a home office for 2-4 weeks upon hire
- A valid driver‘s license with a reliable vehicle is required, mileage reimbursement provided
- Ability to work independently from a home office when not in the field for in person meetings
- Ability to manage time and calendar is required, ideally in Outlook
- Must be fearless on the phone, prior experience making outbound calls is required
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience tracking sales activity in ACT or similar is a plus but not required
- Experience with QuoteWerks is a plus but not required
- A base level of technical aptitude and understanding, and wiliness to learn and grow. You must learn to identify and speak about products; you are not required to perform any hands-on work
- You must naturally be a tenacious person to provide excellent follow up and follow through with customers
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be willing to participate in ongoing training
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and manufacturing reps with vendors such as Fujitsu, Client, and Logitech
