Job Description - Senior Sales Engineer

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer for a reputable Youngstown client. The Senior Sales Engineer will be a member of the field sales team and focus on developing business opportunities and relationships with new/existing customers with the goal of growing new machine, automated systems, spare parts and consumable copper sales. The successful candidate will be technically oriented with strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Included will be direct business development activities including, but not limited to, sales prospecting, lead/inquiry handling & data collection, presentations, quoted project follow-up, coordination of Product Group meetings with new/existing customers. The candidate will interface regularly with multiple internal Product Groups to help facilitate sales growth and achieve annual sales bookings goals.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop annual sales strategy to achieve sales goals and objectives. Specific annual quota to be established in annual performance goals and objectives.
  • Update CRM system for proper tracking of leads, inquiries, and quoted projects from inception through the selling cycle and the capture of analytical data for reporting of new sales opportunities.
  • Provide input to Product Groups for new product developments to capture short and long-term market opportunities. Be the Voice of Customer.
  • Develop, implement, and modify as necessary the strategy of selling the second machine.
  • Mentor sales team and third-party agent to help develop technical and sales expertise.
  • Refine value sell proposition and educate sales team on how to implement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS/BA degree, post-secondary technical certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years technical industrial capital equipment business-to-business sales experience.
  • Manufacturing and machine automation and controls experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products.
  • International/Domestic travel required; approximately 70 - 80% of time
  • Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment.
