Role Overview: As a Senior Underwriting Consultant, you'll collaborate closely with our sales executives, assisting in the preparation of proposal requests, analyzing carrier quotes, and managing data input processes. Your primary responsibility will be to devise effective strategies for clients and prospects to navigate their health and welfare benefit-risk landscape. Responsibilities: - Conduct competitive bidding for all coverage lines, providing detailed financial and contractual analysis in accordance with company policies. - Review vendor proposals meticulously to ensure accuracy. - Collaborate with Sales Executives to evaluate and recommend alternatives, covering aspects such as coverages, pricing, and plan design changes based on thorough analysis. - Prepare comprehensive financial analyses for prospects, including claims projections, premium equivalents, and contribution scenarios. - Deliver all assigned tasks promptly, accurately, and in compliance with company standards. - Develop and maintain models and templates as required. - Cultivate positive relationships with vendor representatives. - Stay updated on developments in the health insurance landscape and evolving insurance legislation, serving as a knowledgeable resource to Sales Executives and Account Managers. - Handle routine and non-routine correspondence efficiently. - Undertake special projects both independently and as part of a team. - Represent AP Benefit Advisors in a positive and professional manner when interacting with internal and external stakeholders. - Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
