Job Description - Accounting Coordinator

This role is specifically supporting our business unit Universal Air Filter which designs, manufactures, and sells custom filters used to protect critical electronic equipment such as telecommunications, data center and other highly engineered equipment environments. The Accounting Coordinator position is responsible for supporting the accounting organization with duties that include both administrative and bookkeeping assistance to the Universal Air Filter team. The ideal team member should be self-driven, open-minded, and eager to continuously learn. Position is a permanent hourly full-time, onsite, and located in the greater metropolitan St. Louis, MO area.

 

 

  • Daily processing of financial transactions, including invoicing and accounts payable.
  • Communicate with customers regarding past due accounts.
  • Provide administrative support to executives and team members as needed.
  • Assist the accounting team with ad hoc projects.
  • Manage day-to-day light administrative tasks such as answering phones, sorting mail, filing, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

  • Positive, high energy, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and employees both written and verbally.
  • Proficiency in general accounting software, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle large volume data entry.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking skills, and ability to handle diverse responsibilities.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
  • Proven experience with invoicing procedures and accounts payable processes.
  • Manufacturing company work experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting related position.
  • Associates Degree strongly desired - Bachlelor’s Degree a plus!
