The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director, Electronic Document Management; The OnBase Application Systems Developer will assist customers with the development of solutions to extend the capabilities of the OnBase Content Management platform. Incumbent will be responsible for driving outstanding customer satisfaction by providing analytical and technical support to Columbia University Information Technology???s (CUIT) business community through the development of solutions to business problems that help achieve strategic and tactical goals.  The Developer is expected to maintain a high level of productivity and work well in a team environment.  The primary responsibility will be to provide development and support of CUIT???s OnBase system and related applications and integrations.  Additional responsibilities include support of CUIT???s eSignature application. 

Responsibilities

  • Supports existing OnBase custom solutions.
  • Develops new OnBase solutions.
  • Uses SDLC methodology to evaluate business needs and define functional requirements.
  • Demonstrates ability to design and implement custom OnBase solutions while working independently.
  • Creates new policies and procedures surrounding the use of OnBase systems.
  • Works with internal team at Columbia University and 3 rd party vendor to provide end-to-end OnBase solutions and support to new and existing customers.
  • Assists in developing, producing and distributing production reports, and policy and procedure manuals.
  • Weekend and off-hour work may be necessary on occasion.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years??? related experience.
  • At least 3 years of end-to-end development and support of OnBase solutions (Workflow, Workview, and API).
  • Hands-on experience in web services-RESTful.
  • Good requirements gathering and analytical skills to understand clients request.
  • Able to work independently as a client facing resource with minimum guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in a variety of competencies including teamwork/collaboration, analytical thinking, communication and influencing skills, and technical expertise.
  • Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects.
  • Ability to be precise and attentive to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work weekend and off-hour work on occasion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator (OCWA) certification.
  • OnBase WorkView Certification (OCWV).
  • OnBase Certified Application Programming Interface (OCAPI)
  • OnBase Certified Support Engineer (OCSE).
