Full-time direct-hire Billing Specialist Responsible for performing a variety of billing functions Manages Receivables and follows up on unpaid claims

Responsibilities
• Process claims efficiently and accurately • Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations • Record payments from clients and insurance agencies • Generate billing reports to monitor claim processing • Manage claim denials and investigate discrepancies • Collaborate with upper management and MIS team • Maintain billing references and create monitoring reports • Work with EHR team to identify and resolve system problems • Make recommendations for internal billing controls and improvements
Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent • Certificate or Associate's degree in Medical Billing and Coding • Valid Michigan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record • 3 years of Medical Billing experience • Basic knowledge of Psychiatric billing codes • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
